Lady of the Weekđź’‹-Traci Horne
Traci Horne, aka “ The Health and Wellness Queen” as some of her clients call her, is a native of Philadelphia. She has been in the healthcare industry for over 32 years. As a Registered Nurse for over 17 years she says, “She has seen it all”, in regards to women’s health and wellness. “As women, we take care of ourselves last and sometimes we have to put ourselves first in regards to our health, wellness and overall livelihood.”

Traci, knew her calling at a very young age. She was a volunteer at the age of 16, working in the Maternity Department at a local Philadelphia hospital. She was intrigued with the power that women possessed with the ability to create life. It was at that defining moment that really became the beginning of the phenomenon of Traci helping women to become stronger; physically and mentally. “I realized we had been give this gift to birth a life and that alone sets us apart from anything else in this world”, she states.

Traci attended Norfolk State University and finished out her studies at Northeastern School of Nursing. She stated, “I really thought that I wanted to fly fighter planes and jets”. “However I kept thinking that I needed to do something more practical, something that I could feel rewarded with “. “ So I followed the urge to help people by going to Nursing School”, she states. Becoming a Labor and Delivery nurse, and being able to help young teens and women and educate them about their sexual and mental health was something so dear to Traci that she wanted to expand in more ways of helping women. She wanted to do more.

In 2009, Traci Co-founded “ Next Level Personal Training”, an all Female Fitness studio in Philadelphia geared to helping women to get healthy, to get fit and in shape for their mind body and soul. Next Level is a special place and the sisterhood is phenomenal. Creating this was a no brainer. Women needed a safe place to workout and to not have to worry about so many things that they may have faced at a Co-ed gym. Next Level Personal Training is one of the 1st all Female studios in the city. Traci is so proud of its growth and the fact that they have helped thousands and thousands of women to prioritize themselves and take their fitness game to the next level is inspiring. Traci is Co-Owner, Personal Trainer and instructor. Traci is hands on and her clients call her “The Punisher for some of her crazy but extremely effective workouts! All and all it’s important for women to be and feel empowered and Traci says that’s what’s most important about everything that she does for her clients, members and patients. Empowering them to be better and do better. Growth is an amazing thing and it allows you to keep going, keep striving, and to keep pushing in all aspects of life.

Writing is yet another gift that Traci possess. She became a Published Author in 2018 , where she Co-wrote the book, “Here’s to Strong Women!”Her chapter, “Self Love is the best love” , quickly became a hot topic as so many women could relate to the chapter and could not put the book down!! Writing is so therapeutic for Traci has begun writing a part 2 of the chapter but in a book form. The buzz from the chapter was amazing. She has decided that by focusing on this next chapter where Traci can continue to inspire young woman to be proud of where they are in their lives, even through the difficult times and uncertainty but to continue to work on themselves each and every day and ti become a woman that’s never defeated.

As a mother, Business Owner, Registered Nurse, Travel Nurse, Author, Personal Trainer, Nutritionist and Childbirth Educator, daughter, sister , friend, caregiver……this woman does it all and wears many hats proudly. “God gave me so many amazing gifts that I’m so incredibly thankful for.” He blesses me every single day, to go out into society and to truly make a difference is an amazing feeling!” I have the ability to help women at their most vulnerable states of their lives. The vulnerability of losing weight and the vulnerability of bringing precious lives into this world.

I have found my purpose and my mission and I proudly enjoy what God has called me to do in all areas of my life!” And that is by helping women to become the BEST version of themselves is my absolute specialty!
